The DPP Committed to Security programme helps suppliers demonstrate their commitment to security best practices within their businesses. The programme provides a framework for organisations to adhere to which follows a specific industry approach to cybersecurity. Participants are assessed against a rigorous set of controls that focus on Production and Broadcast.
These controls are designed to prevent security compromise by external and local actors, failure to detect and act upon incidents, and service risk in the event of a catastrophic event. To receive this certification, Skylark must adhere to internationally recognised standards for information assurance (such as SOX). Skylark must also ensure all systems and services pass penetration testing and have robust plans for operating in case of an emergency.
"We're thrilled that Ostmodern and the Skylark Platform has been awarded the DPP's Committed to Security mark for Broadcast and Production," says Rowan de Pomerai, CTO, DPP. "They're part of a rapidly growing community of forward-thinking companies demonstrating a clear commitment to cybersecurity best practice, and to playing their part in building a more secure global content supply chain."
The DPP is a membership-based, not-for-profit organisation, formed jointly by UK broadcasters BBC, Channel 4, and ITV.
